Welcome to the official home of the Passions, the west London band probably best known for their 1981 hit 'I'm in Love with a German Film Star'. The site is nothing to do with the US vocal group or the US soap opera of the same name and is not even remotely connected to the Beach Boys’ Carl and the Passions. The site was set up in response to the continuing interest in the band a quarter of a century after they split and to catalogue the ever growing collection of cover versions of German Film Star.
